Hallelujah! Burgers redeemed at Burger’s Priest

I have heard rave reviews about Burger’s priest from some friends so we decided to check it out. Super glad we did as it made for a really awesome lunch! The Woodbridge location was also open Sundays, so that was perfect! They have 7 other locations in the GTA and Alberta.

Their tagline is “Redeeming the burger one at a time.” So, what was the deal with this redemption? Well, they grind the beef fresh daily. On site. So, no frozen or prepared patties here-- I actually saw the fresh ground beef from behind the counter!  Also, the griddle apparently makes a difference (vs a broiler)—so we are not consuming charred (and overseasoned)  burgers at this joint.  Now, am going to warn you that my pics do not do these burgers justice. The glory of these burgers was not showcased even if they were actually quite divine!

Classic Cheeseburger at Burger's Priest
DD#1 and Hubby got Bacon Double Cheeseburgers (yes, she finished a whole one!) while DD#2 got a regular, single cheeseburger. I got the Red Sea—cheeseburger with chili. And these were absolutely delicious. Where was Burger’s Priest all my life? The beef was so juicy and fresh! All the other fast food burgers “sin” in comparison. A substantial amount of fries also come with the combo (for an additional $3-4 with pop).

Other “holy” burger orders include Vatican City (double cheeseburger between two grilled cheese buns…my mouth is watering as I write!) and The Priest (cheeseburger + the option—cheesy roasted Portobello mushrooms!). Dying to try those for next time!

Prices are from about $7-12 per burger and each order is not really shareable. It did keep us full the rest of the afternoon. Now that’s another reason to rejoice!
