After watching K-dramas in which they have gamja hotdogs, I realized that we had to try this. Sure, it is available in our local H-mart (which was also pretty good), but I did have to try Chung Chun Rice Hotdog.

This super satisfying Korean street food has now become a favourite in our household. Definitely hits the spot--warm, savoury, with a hint of sweet...
Of course, we had to try the original to have a good base. The beef hotdogs were wrapped in rice flour batter. Then, batter-dipped sticks are coated with toppings of choice, from diced potato to breadcrumbs-- freshly fried as you order.
To change it up a bit, we tried the Sweet Potato-- if you prefer this over regular potato.
Of course, and because it was cute, we tried the Squid Ink. Also pretty good!
Gamja (potato) was our favourite, though. French fries (or more like diced potatoes) coating beef hotdog is a win-win in my books!

There were other hotdog options (spicy hotdog, cheese/mozzarella), variety of toppings (ramen chips, chicken nuggets) and several sauces and toppings, that will be sure to hit everyone's tastes. For sauces, they had spicy mayo, the usual ketchup, mustard, teriyaki. The sprinkling of sugar that the server recommended added a layer of flavour to an already yummy snack.
Wanderlustingmama recommended and cannot wait for other branches to open!
