As we were in Québec, we had to have some French treats. We
checked out a crêperie and a pâtisserie/boulangerie at Mont Tremblant.

Crêperie Catherine—we had lunch close to centre-ville (downtown)at Crêperie Catherine. Freshly made crêpes greeted us as we made our way
to the patio. Hubby and I shared a Catherine Special (Egg, melted cheese and
Black Forest Ham) as well as a Catherine Crunch (sucre à la crème, banana, ice
cream and whipped cream topped with crispy crunch). They were both
delicious!

I allowed the girls to have
dessert for lunch so they had a Mixed berry crêpe (strawberries, blueberries,
raspberries and blackberries with ice cream) and an Apple Granny Smith (with
cinnamon and sucre à la crème).

Ordering for us was simple—we just picked the
house favourites or anything with “Catherine” in the description. I think, though, that
we could have ordered anything and it would have been great. Très délicieux. Service
was also good! Highly recommended—even by John Catucci of You Gotta Eat Here.
treats from Les Moulins La Fayette, Mont Tremblant |
Les Moulins La Fayette—we needed to get some breakfast and
dessert so we checked out a local bakery. We got some croissants, baguettes,
sable cookies (French shortbread cookies) and paille au fromage (cheese
sticks). They were all good! I need more
of these French bakeries closer to home! We also got their 3-layer Trois Chocolats
(dark, white and milk chocolate) cake which was so decadent!

The
mousse was very light and not too sweet. Had we stayed longer in Mont Tremblant, who knows how much weight we would all have gained! C'est très bon!
